A Rat At The Table
A Rat At The Table was originally scheduled for the second book to follow the original “Stone Cold Magic” Book. However, for those who have the e-book, you know the story and know why volume II never came to be.
The Rat, however did find it’s way onto the Stone Cold Magic DVD. Although, the art work on the DVD is different from what you see to the left here. The one on the left is the original art. The DVD has version 2.0 of Jason’s art.
Finally, the story below is the original story that would have been published in the second volume. It is being published here for the first time. Again for those who have the e-book, you know that each effect starts with a short story from the saga. So on to the saga:
I’ll never be the same since that fateful night that I came hand to hand with the slickest most card playing gambler in the world; a genius; a savant even; a Marlo maybe; nonetheless, I no longer fear the one-eyed Jacks or that shifty-eyed Queen of Clubs.
I am a brave man! Nay I am a brave knight! Well maybe not a knight, but I am brave nonetheless. I fear not; I have been freed from the eternal hell known in Bicycle Village as the dreaded force deck. I am free at last!
Now I can have my revenge on the Ace family and the Joker who have ruined my life and my family’s life. Finally someone has picked me, and I am saved, saved by the one who does not know if he is a magician or a gambler; saved by the one who is the battle of the Gambler vs. Magician; saved by that cunning yet brilliant being who is feared in all the land of Bicycle Village, the one who is A Rat At The Table.
