Poo Flood
Poo Flood
As ya’ll (yes; I said “ya’ll”) may remember, last year (May 2010), West Valley City was working on the pipes in front of our home, and they accidentally nicked a sewer line that caused over 500 gallons of raw sewage to flood our basement. Other than pumping out the basement, sanitizing the contaminated area and gutting our carpet and sheet rock West Valley has done nothing.
Further, they don’t care. We’ve been living with a destroyed basement for over a year now, and the Mayor and city planner simply don’t care.
Here’s a link to a news story video from KSL about the whole mess.
If any of you have any connections that can help us, we would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
We’re hoping someone out there knows Ty Pennington From Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
The city is not only uncooperative, but they think that I should pay their attorney’s fees for the litigation. I’ve got my own attorney’s fees plus over $40,000 worth of destroyed basement that the city couldn’t care less about. Anyway, any connections you may have will be very much welcome . . . anyone know Bill Gephardt?
New Book Update
Just a brief progress report on the new book project . . . I’ve been able to squeeze in a few hours here and a few hours there. I’ve written a few essays for the book so far. In fact, one of them happens to be this month’s episode of Roots and Branches entitled, Paper Balls Under the Head. Stay tuned for more updates on this mammoth book.
