New E-Book On The Way!

New E-Book From Jeff StoneNew E-Book From Jeff Stone

Thank you (both of you) for all of the inquiries about when my next project will be out. I still can’t answer that question, but I can tell you that it will be another e-book. Those seem to strike a nerve with a majority of my loyal subscribers. Additionally, I can tell you this. It’s already in the works and I’m hoping to release it with a month or 2 (but you never know). Additionally, I’ve received permission to publish my modification of a Larry Becker effect (Ace Revisited) as well as my handling on a Sankey Effect (Memory Lapse). There are a handful of you out there who have seen my handling of Sankey’s effect . . . without fail, everyone I’ve shared it with has fallen in love with it and used it. There are several other effects that will include all of the props as part of the e-book so you can easily print them out and use them. I’m finally tipping one of my favorite routines right out of my stand up comedy-mentalism act. You’ll also find some sweet subtleties I’ve come up with over the years for some classic principles. All in all, I’m very excited about this book, and I know you will be too. I’ll keep you posted.

Excellent Book By Wayne Dobson

Normally folks, as you know, I save the reviews for the Gems and Rubble column. However, I often have them written and scheduled out for a few months at a time. Occasionally, I’ll modify the schedule to put something in sooner. In this case, I haven’t quite gotten around to writing a review on Wayne Dobson’s book Six Masterpieces. However, this one is a must have. I’ll be writing a review in a future issue, but I just thought I’d tell you about it now. If you see it somewhere, buy it. I sell it on my Magic Reviewed site. However, buy it from me – don’t buy it from me – it doesn’t matter, just get it. It’s one of the best $20 bucks you’ll spend. I know this just sounds like a “pitch” to get you to buy it from me. However, once you buy it, you’ll know I’m right; it’s just a great booklet.

Danny Archer Lecture

You may have noticed already that this month’s free effect is from none other than Danny Archer. I just attended his lecture and found it to be very inspiring. He had a lot of great ideas, additions subtleties, etc. His G.I. Bill effect inspired a modification to one of my own routines. Make sure you read this month’s Roots and Branches about creativity. Many of the principles discusses in that article were at work while watching Danny perform, lecture and teach. One more reason to get out there and watch other magicians. Thanks, Danny, for coming out to our neck of the woods! Enjoy the June issue of Stone Cold Magic Magazine.
