Kansas City Lecture
I just wanted to say thanks to the folks in Kansas, particularly Eddie Pease from Mindgames and Magic. The lecture went great from what I can tell, and as always, I learned. What I learned isn’t the point. The point is that with each performance whether it’s a show for lay-folk or a show for magicians (lecture), we must grow and improve.
The lecture was great, but the trip there was not as fun. For those who are familiar with the trick “The Target Card” on my Stone Cold Magic DVD, you know that when I perform that effect, I use a miniture cap gun as part of the routine to get a reaction/laugh during the effect. Well the cap gun I use is a Walmart brand toy derringer looking gun. It was in one of my carry on bags. It turns out that it’s illegal to have a cap gun in a carry-on bag, so I got “pulled over” by TSA.
I got written up and the cap gun was taken. To their credit, they were totally cool about the whole thing, but alas, my cap gun is gone forever. Eddie and I stopped at 3 different places in Kansas trying to find a cap gun for the lecture that night . . . no luck. Live and learn I guess.
Thanksgiving Leftovers
Speaking of the Kansas lecture, I always bring hard copies of my book Stone Frixion Fire. I have 5 copies left. The Hard Bound edition has two extra effects in it. I also have 5 copies of Kingside Castling (the new edition). So the leftovers from the Lecture are yours for the taking. They each retail for $19.95. However, for the five remaining copies I’m combining them. The first five to order can have them for $29 bucks. That’s almost 30% off. Of course, as always, Free International Shipping. Get ’em Now. You’ll also get the instant download videos included with Kingside Castling, and you’ll even get the E-Book version (instant download) of Stone Frixion Fire for Free! There are only 5 people who will get this, so Order Now!
Contest Update
Finally, all the entries are in for the Free Magic For Life Contest. I got some last minute entries, so my team and I will be reviewing the videos over the next couple of weeks. The winner will be announced in the December 2009 Issue.
