Sweats and a T-Shirt

Free Magic - Stone Cold Magic Magazine - What not to WearReally . . . Sweats and a T-Shirt. I know. This month’s No Stone Left Unturned is really simple . . . a lesson I learned a while back. I have custom made Stone Cold Magic ball caps that I occasionally where when I’m out and about. Here’s the thing, however. If you’re going to wear a logo that represents your company, what does the rest of you look like?

Well, it was midnight. I had to run to the store and get a few groceries for breakfast the next morning. I was sitting around the house in Sweats and a T-Shirt. I know. My hair was not exactly un-disheveled, so I threw on a Stone Cold Magic ball cap along with a pair of flip flops and off I went.

Of course, the cashier noticed my groovy hat and asked the million dollar question . . . What’s Stone Cold Magic. I had no choice by to say, “I have no idea. I found it outside before I came in the store.” The last thing I need is to be represented to the public looking the way I did. I’m not suggesting you need to wear a suit and tie to the grocery store in the middle of the night, but man if you spend much time in the public eye, you’ve got to look the part. So remember, you are your brand. If you’re hoping that you don’t run into a potential client because of what you’re wearing, change your clothes.

Until Next Month . . .
